My favorite assignment from this week's readings and videos was the Randy Pausch's Last Lecture. Wow, talk about inspiring! I loved how he talked about how important dreams are. Pausch talks about how as "favor to him," parents need to let their kids dream, be creative, and support them in accomplishing those dreams. I had great parents who let me do that and I owe a lot of who I am today to them. I have a personal goal to give my children the creative environment, love, and support that they need to make their dreams come true.
Also, I enjoyed the article "What is your calling in life?" by Jeffery Thompson. After reading that I feel even more confident that the greatest calling I have in this life is to be a mother. But I also have goals of finishing my bachelor’s degree in Business Management so that someday I can work for the Walt Disney Company. I believe in Disney’s cause to help dreams come true. I also believe that this is another calling I have, to bring magic and happiness to families. This weeks assignments have held a common theme for me: dreams. But isn’t that what entrepreneurship is all about? Pursuing your dreams.
